Located in the giant Sequoia National Park at a cool 7,000 foot elevation, Camp San Joaquin offers a unique retreat experience for any group. Our remote and beautiful location combined with comfortable accommodations and good food make camp San Joaquin a perfect setting for your group.
Camp San Joaquin is open during the summer months to groups of up to 80 people. You can bring your own program and leaders or choose from one of our many week and weekend retreats offered through the Anglican Diocese of San Joaquin.
Camp San Joaquin offers a full range of activities. The waterfall next to our property offers a refreshing and beautiful way to cool off. We also have a pool on our campus for the less adventurous. We have archery, volleyball, mountain bikes, and many hiking trails. Our campus is a great base camp for bird watching and hunting. In the lodge, we have a small library with couches for relaxing and foosball tables . At night we have a fire pit and the perfect grassy meadow for stargazing.
The camp includes a recreation and conference hall with a large fireplace, a kitchen and covered dining area, restrooms with showers, swimming pool, ten tent cabins, a long house with four separate dormitories each with its own full bath, three 2-bedroom cabins and one 1-bedroom cabin each with a full bath, an outdoor chapel and a campfire ring. It is a rustic yet comfortable environment. Campers are required to bring their own bedding (sleeping bags) and towels.
